How long does an employee has to work to receive unemployment benefits?

November 19th, 2007 · No Comments

I recently asked these two questions to Nevada Department of Employment:

How long does an employee has to work to receive unemployment benefits?
Does employee has right for unemployment benefits in case he/she quits?

Here is the answer I got:

The length of employment is not an eligibility question.

Any employment counts toward the claimant’s monetary determination if it is during the base period.

If someone quits there is a stop on the claim until it is determined if the claimant quit with good cause.

Payment may or may not occur
