One of those major differences in incorporation involves the fact that Louisiana is the only state that requires incorporators to obtain federal tax identification prior to filing the articles of incorporation. Louisiana also requires the filing of a form entitled “Initial Report” with the articles of incorporation. The initial report requires that incorporators name their first board of directors.
