Shares of stock are an ownership interest in a corporation.

For-profit corporations must have stock. Par value is simply the lowest price at which a share of stock can be sold. Stock must be sold for at least this value, or the owner of the stock can face liability. With low par value stock or no par value stock, this liability is minimized. The par value has nothing to do with the actual value of the stock. The actual value would be determined by fair market value (what someone is willing to pay for the stock) or book value (an accounting method looking at assets less liabilities = value of equity). If you do not know what to fill in, we will use by default 10,000 shares. Wyoming states do not require Par Value, just number of shares,which may be unlimited. If more than 1 class of shares is authorized, the articles of incorporation must set a distinguishing designation for each class, and, prior to the issuance of shares of a class, the preferences, limitations, and relative rights of that class must be described in the articles of incorporation.   Attach additonal page if needed.
